Leah, aged 30, from Welshpool had a due date of January 4 but Nicholas came into the world at Princess Royal Hospital in Telford by Caesarian section at 11.56am at a healthy 6lbs 5oz.

Leah and partner Aaron Heather, 37, also have Scarlett, now four years old, who was born in vastly different circumstances on March 23, 2020 - the day Boris Johnson announced a nationwide lockdown amid the outbreak of coronavirus.

“My experience at Telford this time was brilliant but when Scarlett was born at Wrexham in 2020 it was during the lockdown which was very stressful.

“Aaron could not be with me and I was in labour for 12 hours. It was so much less stressful at the Women's and Children's Unit at the Princess Royal.
