Fire crews remove smoking washing machine from house in Shrewsbury
Fire crews were called to deal with a suspected blaze involving a washing machine.

The incident at Stephenson Drive, Shrewsbury, occurred on Sunday (January 5), with the fire service alerted at around 10.45am.
Two crews were sent to deal with the incident and found a washing machine smoking in the kitchen when they arrived.
An update from the fire service said that the machine had been isolated and removed from the property, with advice given to the homeowner.
