Residents in the SY10 and SY11 areas of Shropshire experienced problems with water supplies due to a booster failure.
The water company was able to fix the problem by 1.11pm and announced that water supplies returned to normal.
A post at 11.46am reporting the incident said: "We would like to apologise to those experiencing no supply, poor pressure or discoloured water in the SY10 and SY11 area of Shropshire this morning.
"We have found that the pumps that help us move water around your area have stopped working. As we know what the problem is, we’ve already got engineers on the way to reset these pumps which will return the water supply to normal.
"We are very sorry for any inconvenience."
An update when the problem was fixed, added: "For those that were impacted by this we’d like to thank you for your continued patience whilst this was being carried out."
