Kington Town Council will publish a new item about its work every month in the parish magazine.

Deputy Mayor Councillor Martin Woolford said he received a request from the new editor of the parish magazine recently asking if the town council would like to submit a regular report.

Councillor Woolford said he would be happy to on an article with the clerk to put something forward.

Councillor Buzz Bishop said she thought it was a great idea but she said she thought the writing of the piece should be rotated to whatever councillors wished to take part to give a voice to different groups and ideas in the town.

Town clerk Liz Kelso said that would be fine but the report would need to be run past the office staff first and it should be a report of the council’s work.

Kington Mayor Councillor Philip Sell said he would do the first article and then any councillors wishing to take part should contact the clerk with their names and a list can be drawn up.

Members agreed to consider a rota at the January meeting.
