'I cannot understand why people want to litter the countryside' - Councillor's frustration over latest fly-tipping near Market Drayton

A councillor has vented his frustration after rubbish was fly-tipped at the side of a North Shropshire country road.

Shropshire Council's Roy Aldcroft said he "cannot understand" why people would dump rubbish in the countryside when waste removal services are available.

The county council said it has arranged for the rubbish to be removed and that they are searching for any evidence at the site that may help to identify those responsible.

Councillor Roy Aldrcoft said: "There are facilities around the county and in Whitchurch at the recycling centres, it is all free providing you book in.
