Molly Elsdon from PETA - which claims to be the largest animal rights organisation in the world - co-ordinated the demonstration in the town's Square.

The demonstration aimed to promote a vegan lifestyle and challenge the public to reconsider their treatment of animals, particularly when it comes to consuming meat.

The animal rights activist previously disrupted The Fashion Awards during December and took to the red carpet to protest.

On Wednesday, Molly, alongside Josie Knowles and volunteer Jake Ball headed Shropshire to promote Veganuary - a campaign that encourages people to try a vegan diet this month - and voice PETA's message that there is "no difference" between serving up kingfisher wings as opposed to chicken.
