The AGM is being held on Tuesday, January 21 at 8pm inside the function room at Market Drayton Royal British Legion Club on Church Street.
Members are being invited to attend, and residents are being encouraged to join the group if they wish to do so.
Member Ian Nellins said: "The AGM is an opportunity for all members of the Market Drayton branch to get feedback on the branch’s activities in 2024.
"This includes activities such as the D-Day 80 celebrations, liaison with schools and youth organisations, a battlefield study to the Somme and Ypres and the remembrance services in November. The branch also assists with many welfare issues.
"During the AGM there will be an election of officers. All positions are potentially available and I hope to see some new nominations for roles within the branch committee. I would encourage members to attend and to vote for their committee members.
"There are plans for Victory In Europe Day (VE Day) in May, a future battlefield education study and remembrance activities.
"I would like to express my thanks to the present committee for their continued support.
"I’d especially like to express the gratitude of the branch to Mr George Bratton, who recently stood down as branch secretary and standard bearer, roles he held for many years."
Members have been told: "Any other proposed items for the agenda must be submitted in writing to the branch chairman by Tuesday, January 14. Any such correspondence should be left at the club for the attention of the branch chairman."
