Council will consider parking of vans outside schools to 'maximise availability' after causing a stir in Telford
Telford and Wrekin Council says it will "consider alternative arrangements" over the parking of its vehicles outside schools after a complaint because vans took up valuable spaces for parents.

Parents of pupils at Thomas Telford School were frustrated to find vans used by the council's enforcement officers taking up spaces outside the school this week.
Numerous vehicles were captured and reportedly parked up outside the school, leaving some parents in a scramble as to where to park themselves.
The council's vans were parked along Caledonian Way as Neighbourhood Enforcement Officers undertook patrols outside the school, upon the start of the new term.
Telford and Wrekin Council said its officers parked safely and legally but said it will consider the parking of its vehicles in the future.
A spokesperson for Telford and Wrekin Council said: "The Council’s Neighbourhood Enforcement Officers undertake patrols outside many schools across the borough daily. The primary aim is to promote positive parking and ensure the safety of all road users in and around the school gates.
"Like all motorists, the officers need to ensure they park in safe and legal location. Whilst our officers have been parking safely and legally, we do acknowledge that whilst we carry out our work to improve safety for all, we will consider alternative arrangements for our work vehicles to maximise parking availability for those using the area."
