The family of a 28-year-old man have launched a fundraiser after a fire broke out in the upstairs of a home in Sutton Hill, Telford.
Firefighters and paramedics were sent to the home on Smallwood at around 10.16am on Saturday.
According to the family, the fire devastated the man's bedroom and left the entire upstairs of the property damaged by smoke.
Now, Emily Reed - who is the grandaughter of the couple who own the home - has launched a fundraiser in a bid to help her cousin rebuild his life.
Emily said: "He has lost everything, clothes, toiletries, essentials. He does not have a bed to sleep in at the moment.
"We are asking for donations so we can help him recover and feel more human as he has nothing left. We will also need to clean and re-paint the whole of the upstairs due to the fire."
Emily also wanted to pass on her thanks to the firefighters for tackling the blaze and the paramedics for helping her cousin who was reportedly left with carbon monoxide poisoning.
Urging people to donate to the cause, she added: "It will all add up and mean a great deal to me and my family."
