Plans to convert and extend a former stable block and warehouse behind the Kings Arms pub on Shropshire Street in Market Drayton have been submitted to Shropshire Council.
Photographs contained in the application show the array of buildings to be in a derelict and semi-ruinous state.
The buildings are listed, but the plans state that this is assumed to be because of the proximity to other listed buildings, including the timber-framed Kings Arms pub, and its position in the town's conservation area.
Previous plans for the site included the building of nine new dwellings which was approved in 2013 - but the plans would have seen the loss of the pub's garden.
