Consultants, Peter Richards and Co., have submitted a planning application on behalf of Mrs Tasou for the construction of 7 homes on family-owned land off Red Barn Road in Market Drayton.
The proposal seeks to build five, two-bedroom bungalows and a pair of three-bedroom semi-detached houses on the 0.83-acre site, which sits to the south of the A53 near a recent development built by Taylor Wimpey Homes.
The application to Shropshire Council states that the new homes would be accessed via Red Barn Road - with a formal agreement already reportedly in place with Taylor Wimpey for the construction of an access road.
According to the application, each property would be afforded private parking for two vehicles and private gardens to the rear.
The designs also state around 536 square metres of public open space would also be built along the northern boundary of the development.
Since the application was submitted in late December, several neighbours have expressed their concerns over the new development.
An objection, submitted to Shropshire Council and signed by a number of residents from nearby Red Barn Road has stated the "significant residential growth" of Market Drayton over recent years has meant local amenities are "already operating at full capacity".
It reads: "While the proposed development is relatively small in scale, it will undoubtedly add further pressure to an already overstretched system."
Neighbours have also expressed concern over parking, which they say is "already strained" in the area.
The objection letter continues: "The narrow nature of Red Barn Road and the high volume of parked cars already make it difficult for vehicles to pass safely, and this proposed development will only compound the problem.
"Furthermore, there are safety concerns for young children who play in the street, as the additional traffic poses a potential hazard."
