Steven Davies was accused of assaulting Mark Whitehead at Builth Wells on March 30 2024, when he appeared at Llandrindod Wells Magistrates Court last week. No pleas were taken.

Magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case against the 32 year-old of Glanmor Road, Uplands, Swansea.

They sent it to Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court for an initial hearing on February 4 2025.

Davies will remain on unconditional bail until that date.
