Burglars steal wiring worth £10,000 from building under construction near Ludlow

Burglars have stolen wiring with a value of approximately £10,000 from a building that is under construction near Ludlow.

West Mercia Police is appealing to residents in the Ludford area for information on the burglary, which is thought to have happened between 5pm last Thursday (January 9) and 9.20am on Monday (January 13).

PCSO Beth Francis of Ludlow Safer Neighborhood Team reported the incident in which burglars entered a building which is under construction and stolen wiring. They also forced entry into a garden shed by breaking the lock and removed tools. 

The post said: "We are appealing to the Ludlow community for information following a burglary at a home in the Ludford area of the town. 

"Offender(s) unknown have entered a building which is under construction and cut and stole wiring to the value of approximately £10,000.  They also forced entry into a garden shed, breaking the lock and removing tools.

"Did you see anything suspicious or have any information that might help enquires?

"Please get in touch with us by calling 101 and quoting crime reference number 22/3694/25.

"If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
