The Constitutional Club in Market Drayton was sold to a "local company" last November after falling into disuse.
Agents, Towler Shaw Roberts, said the property "generated a good level of interest" after being marketed as "an attractive conversion/development opportunity".
In late November, TSR's Toby Shaw said: "We are pleased to have now completed a sale to a local company, who will announce their plans in the near future.”
Now, Mackintosh Thomas Architecture, on behalf of Mr George Kitchin, has put in an application to convert the former social club into a four-bedroom home.
If approved, the existing extension and veranda would be removed and the interior would see the billiard room, function room, meeting room, kitchen and bar replaced with an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area and four bedrooms.
According to the application, the club was last used as a social club in July 2024.
The application states: "By repurposing the unused club, this project will breathe new life into the site and enhance its value to the community.
"This proposal represents a sustainable and thoughtful reuse of a vacant community building, providing much-needed housing while preserving the character of the conservation area."
