Complaints have been made about the conditions at a building site in Builth Wells, to the town council.

The complainants told the town clerk that the area around the site on Hospital Road is a mess with silt and slurry on the roads and on occasion it has been running into the drains.

Town clerk Louise Hammond said one lady said one day the drains could not cope and the area became dangerous and could have resulted in flooding elsewhere.

The woman said she had spoken to the site manager about the state of the area and he was not worried about it.

The town council said it is not a matter they can deal with but members agreed to contact the site manager, the highways department at Powys County Council and Builth Wells County Councillor Jeremy Pugh to raise the issue.
