Two crews from Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock fire stations were sent to a property on Severn Street after the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received reports of an incident at 11.17am.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets, a covering jet, a ventilation fan and breathing apparatus to tackle the house fire.
Crews also isolated solar panels, gas and electricity supplies.
The SFRS has confirmed that the fire did not spread to any nearby properties. The incident was under control by 12.21pm.
A spokesperson said an investigation into the cause of the fire is 'ongoing', but it is believed to have been started accidentally.
