In its first ungraded inspection since Ofsted judged the predecessor school to be 'Good' in May 2016, Ofsted inspectors returned to Oakmeadow Church of England Primary and Nursery School in Bayston Hill.

The latest report, published on Thursday (January 23), gave glowing praise to the school and its pupils - who inspectors said were "delightful" during their visit in mid-December.

"This lovely school sits firmly at the heart of its community," the report states.

"Pupils respond wonderfully to the school’s high expectations of them. This is evident in pupils’ high attendance and their positive conduct. Pupils know how to behave and get along very well with one another.
