Police investigating after theft of valuable collectors toy from Ironbridge store

Police are investigating after the theft of a valuable collectors' toy cat.

The theft took place from the Bears on the Square shop in Ironbridge.

Police Community Support Officer Amy Newbrook said that the incident took place between 3.20pm and 3.25pm on Thursday, January 23.

She said that the item taken was a 'Steiff Limited Edition Agneatha Ivory Cat'.

Posting on West Mercia Police's Neighbourhood Matter website she urged anyone with information about the theft to get in touch.

She said: "We are investigating the theft of a collectors bear which occurred at Bears On The Square, Ironbridge.

"The theft took place on Thursday 23rd January 2025 between 15:20-15:25 hours. The bear stolen is a Steiff Limited Edition Agneatha Ivory Cat.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to the theft or may have been in the area around the time of the incident and heard or seen anything suspicious. 

"We also want to hear from anyone who thinks they may have information regarding the whereabouts of the bear or who is offered the bear for sale.
