West Mercia Police Police Constable based in Oswestry, Mark Wright posted on the force's Neighbourhood Matters page reporting the seizure today.
Officers attended Marshfields this morning to seize and have a small lorry removed after it had been parked in the road for a long period of time and had no tax.
Trailers and other items which have been dumped in front of garages have also been reported to the local authorities.
Although a challenging recovery, PC Wright said officers are committed to tackling problems for road users and similar incidents.
The post said: "Following complaints from local residents in Maesbury, police cfficers attended Marshfields this morning. A small lorry (LCV), shown in the picture had been left parked in the road for quite some time. We have seized this vehicle due to their being no road tax in place.
"It was quite a challenge for the recovery company.
"We are also aware of the vehicle, trailers and other items that have been left in front of the garages and have reported this to Shropshire Council and Star Housing.
"We are aware that the roads could be in a better condition however road tax must be paid. If not your vehicle can be seized and you could face a fine. If you are aware of an untaxed vehicle you can report it directly to the DVLA GOV.UK - Vehicle details, or to us."
