Police appeal after substance believed to be paint is poured over Jaguar car in Shrewsbury

Police are investigating criminal damage to a high-end Jaguar car which had been left unattended in Shrewsbury.

West Mercia Police is appealing for information after a Jaguar I-Pace which was left unattended on the roadside on Howard Street was damaged between 9am on January 12 and 9am on January 13.

Police say an unknown person or people approached the vehicle and poured what is believed to be paint over it.

A post on the force's Neighbourhood Matters page by PCSO Angie Roberts said: "We are appealing to local residents for any information that may help with ongoing enquiries. 

"A person/s has approached the vehicle and has poured an unknown substance believed to be paint over the vehicle, prior to making off.

"If you have information about the damage please let us know using the online ‘Tell Us About’ form on our website (www.westmercia.police.uk), quoting incident reference crime number 22/3548/25.

"If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
