Rescue crews sent to South Shropshire hamlet after vehicle flips onto side

Firefighters were called to rural road in South Shropshire after a vehicle was involved in a collision and came to a rest on its side.

The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 8.34am reporting the road traffic incident in the hamlet of Plowden within the parish of Lydbury North near Bishop's Castle. 

Three fire crews, including the rescue tender, were sent from Bishop's Castle, Craven Arms and Wellington fire stations to the scene. 

An operations officer was also in attendance.

The fire service reported that the incident involved one vehicle which had come to a rest on its side.  

Nobody was trapped inside the vehicle, and firefighters used small gear to make the vehicle safe. 

The incident concluded at 9.04am.
