Man appears in court accused of petrol station robbery

A man has appeared in court accused of robbing a petrol station.

Michael Holmes, 29, of Selkirk Drive in Sutton Hill, Telford, was charged by police with two offences - robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

The charges followed an incident at the Jet Petrol Station in Sutton Hill on Monday - January 27.

Holmes appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court yesterday - Thursday, January 30, where no plea was entered.

He was released on bail and is due to next appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Thursday, February 27.
