Work to expand Lawley Village Academy with an extra 210 school places, started in last year’s autumn term following investment from Telford & Wrekin Council.
This expansion allowed the school, which is part of the REAch2 Academy Trust, to go from a one form entry to two form entry to help meet the demands of the growing population within its catchment area.
To celebrate the completion of the project, guests were invited to enjoy a tour of the newly expanded school, which includes six new classrooms, a SEN support room, nurture space and a nursery class.
Pupils and staff were also invited to a special assembly and a ribbon was cut to mark the occasion.
