Motorist, 40, banned after being caught driving in Shrewsbury under influence of cocaine

A motorist caught driving under the influence of cocaine has been handed a lengthy road ban.

Uninsured Sam Griffiths, aged 40, drove a Peugeot 207 in WIngfield Close, Ditherington, Shrewsbury on August 31 last year.

A drugs test found he had 26 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood in his system. The legal limit, taking into account the possibility of accidental exposure, is 10mcg per litre.
