Eight family-friendly activities to enjoy this February half-term in Shropshire
From live animal births to Ninja Warrior-themed holiday clubs, there's much to get involved with in Shropshire this February half-term.

This year, half-term falls on Monday, February 17 to Friday, February 21. This can be a difficult time for parents and carers, who want to treat their kids to a wonderful days out for a much-needed break.
So, we have compiled a list of some of the very best Shropshire has to offer.

DarwIN Shrewsbury Festival
Taking place throughout the month of February and centred around the birth of Shrewsbury-born naturalist Charles Dawin, children can get stuck into wiggly worms, a Lego workshop and educational talks.
Get stuck in with Fabulous Fossils at The Cut Visitor Centre, Shropshire Wildlife Trust, in Abbey Foregate, which will take place on February 20 between 10.30am and 4pm.
This is a chance to see a collection of Shropshire Fossils, learn about the weird creatures that formed them and how they did it. It promises to be a fascinating insight into the world as it was hundreds of millions of years ago.

Lambing Live at Park Hall
Reopening during February half-term, people of all ages can witness a live birth at this Oswestry farm park from February 15.
There’s plenty of other things at the park to get involved with, too, including a role-play village, sand and water play and an under-4’s sensory play area.

Snowdrop Evening Walks at Attingham Park
This half-term, the stunning snowdrop wood of Attingham Park will be illuminated with fairy lights and projections.

The Crossbar Group
The Crossbar Group will be hosting Ninja Warrior-themed holiday clubs and Champions League-themed soccer schools between February 17 and 21.
The clubs will be offered in Telford at Lawley Primary School, Old Park Primary School, and Redhill Primary School, as well as in Shrewsbury at Bowbrook Primary School and Greenfields Primary School.

Ironbridge Valley of Invention
Many food-themed activities are taking place at the Ironbridge Valley of Invention.
Blists Hill Victorian Town is hosting Victorian Food Week during the break, with the opportunity to explore the history of Victorian food at a live cooking demonstration and in hands-on activities.
Meanwhile, at Coalport China Museum, children can get hands-on with clay at a special food-themed workshop.

A unique experience for people of all ages, Shrewsbury Prison is turning its visitors into detectives this half-term.

Wonderland
Reopening for February half-term, Wonderland in Telford Town Park has something for everyone with four rides, crazy gold, inflatables, a maze and even a Mad Hatter’s tea party.
Off Peak prices apply through-out this period and all weekends during March. Each child will receive a free general admission ticket during February half term.

The Fairies of February Trail at Ludlow Market
This free to attend trail will run during Ludlow's regular markets on Wednesday, February 19 and Friday, February 21 between 11.30am and 2.30pm. Visitors are invited to discover the magic of the south Shropshire town by finding hidden fairies scattered throughout the market.
