Paramedics and firefighters were called to a house fire caused by a candle on a mantel piece in Telford.

The incident happened in Valley Road, The Rock in Telford yesterday evening.
A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “At 7.55pm on Friday, February 14, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a property fire in Telford.
“Candle on mantel piece that was out on arrival of Fire Service Personnel. Property has been ventilated.”
Two fire engines were sent to the scene from Wellington and an operations officer was also in attendance.
West Midlands Ambulance Service has been contacted for an update.
