They come just a year after House of Fraser revealed nearly 100 jobs were to go at the Beatties head office in Wolverhampton, those coming just months after some 70 managerial and sales positions were chopped.The jobs cuts announced today - less than 30 across the whole of the Beatties stores group - are believed to affect staff working in support and back office roles.

They are being made as uncertainty still surrounds the future of the Beatties name, which is still under review by House of Fraser bosses.

Beatties has been trading in the region for almost 130 years, and has 12 stores.
