A Shropshire-based printer company is celebrating after it saw monthly sales fly through the £100,000 barrier for the first time in its four-year history.

StinkyInk.com, of Alveley, near Bridgnorth, is on its way to doubling turnover in 12 months thanks to the sales boost.

StinkyInk.com won the Shropshire Star-sponsored award for Shropshire's Best Small Business in 2006. Part of the prize was business analysis and coaching support from Quantum West Midlands.

Boss John Sollars said: "Our feet haven't touched the ground since the summer. My challenge to Quantum was to double our turnover in 12 months and we're now well on the way to achieving this and I'm now thinking we will be able to double it again.

"There is a great excitement in the business at the moment. We are currently growing at around 70 per cent compared to the same month last year."

David Mack, from Quantum, took up John's challenge and has been very busy in the business since Stinkyink.com won the award.

"The most exciting growth strategy is a reward scheme called "Ink Spots" which sees schools and charities eligible to redeem ink spot reward tokens for new printers and USB sticks.

"Since its recent launch, more than 60 schools and charities are now collecting the vouchers. It's great to be part of the team and working within different areas of the business."

Ink Spots are sent out with all orders from Stinkyink.com and customers are encouraged to pass on their tokens to their favourite charity or a local school. You can join the scheme at www.ink-spots.co.uk
