They attended a boardroom lunch and toured the offices and press hall at Ketley, where the Shropshire Star, Shropshire Magazine and several weekly newspapers are produced.

The visit was to mark the forthcoming launch of The New Saints FC and The Venue entertainment and meeting centre at Park Hall, near Oswestry.

In addition to having one of the most advanced football pitches in the country, the multi-million-pound development will offer entertainment for all the family including ten-pin bowling, a function room with its own bar, conference facilities that will accommodate 200-plus people, eaterie, children's soft play area and a health and fitness suite with gym, spa, sauna and beauty therapy rooms.

The Shropshire Star is one of the founder members of The New Saints Business Club, formed to further develop the club's links with the Llansantffraid and Oswestry business communities.

The club has been formed as a way to introduce local businesses (irrespective of size or nature of business) to The New Saints Football Club and The Venue at Park Hall, whilst at the same time offering them the opportunity to provide their individual services to supporters and officials of The New Saints and fellow business club members.
