HitZone, founded by Stuart Cain and Jodi Ambrose with a single studio on Halesfield 19 in Telford in 2015, has since expanded to boast five UK locations, most of which are operated under licence.

Now an operator is to open one of the HitZone studios in Perth in Australia as the expansion of the brand continues.

It will open in September, and takes the brand out of the UK for the first time.

The latest opening will add to other HitZone studios in Shrewsbury, Banbridge and Lisburn in Northern Ireland, and Ipswich in East Anglia which are already operating, with more expected to open their dors in the coming months.

Mr Cain said: "It's pretty cool for us, our first overseas studio and we are pretty exc ited. We can't wait to see it open.

"As well as that we have four other studios in the pipeline including one in the M25 and we hope to have two of those open by the end of 2017.

"It will be based on the same kind of thing as here – 25 minute workouts in small groups using the Hit machines. It will be the same as here but a few hours' flight away."

Mr Cain added: "We are actively looking for new licensees who want to make a difference to people's lives by opening a HitZone either locally, nationally or internationally."

The fitness business is based on 25-minute high-intensity, instructor-led workouts designed to help people of all fitness abilities, ages, shapes and sizes exercise together.

The style of fitness is designed to be low-impact but high-intensity, making it appealing to people who might feel uncomfortable in a traditional gym.

The string of openings mean HitZone is making good on its initial plan to roll out the model across the UK.
