Oswestry growth plans

A glimpse of Oswestry's future will be given at the spring meeting of the town's Chamber of Commerce.

The event on March 7 at 6pm at the Wynnstay Hotel, will welcome Gemma Davies, Head of Economic Growth, and Hayley Owen, Growth Programme and Strategy Manager for Shropshire Council.

They will talk about how the council sees Oswestry’s growth strategy playing out over the next 10 years, and how businesses can benefit from the opportunities this will bring.

Steve Charmley, Deputy Leader of the council, will provide an update looking at the new Innovation Park, the role of the A5, Mile End Development, Oswestry BID and more.

Chairman, Mark Derham said: “This will be an open meeting and we’d love to see a full house, whether a chamber member or not, for what promises to be a vitally important subject for every Oswestry business.”
