18 new jobs created as builders' merchant opens in Telford
Eighteen jobs have been created in Telford after an independent builders’ merchant opened a new branch.
MKM Building Supplies has officially opened its new branch at Ketley Business Park.
With building supplies, timber, plumbing, heating and more, the new branch aims to act as a 'one stop shop' for both the general public as well as the trades.
Branch director Paul Tarr said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be opening our new branch in Telford. Despite now being 53-strong throughout the country, this is MKM's first in the wider area.
"We've handpicked a fantastic, skilled team of local people – everyone's raring to show the trades and public what MKM is all about. We can't wait to start welcoming customers in-branch for a coffee and a chat about their next project."
Private landowner and remediation specialist Parkhill Estates signed up MKM Building Supplies for the new trade unit.
Sam Cornes, CEO of Parkhill Estates, said: "This deal with MKM demonstrates our ability to deliver the right product in the right location for the right occupier and we are sure they will be a valuable addition to the current tenant line-up."
