Chocolate giant Thorntons to close Telford store
Chocolate giant Thornton is to close its store in Telford Town Centre this summer.
A notice has gone up at the store saying it will close on July 7.
The firm said it was trying to find other jobs for the shop's seven employees.
A Thorntons spokesperson said today: "Like any retailer, we are continuously reviewing our store estate to ensure we are in the locations that meet our customer needs.
"As a result of such a review, the decision was taken to close our store in Telford on 7th July 2018. Currently, seven staff members are employed at the store and we are looking to find them other employment opportunities where possible.
"Thorntons has been delighted to serve our many local customers over the years and we would encourage them to shop for their favourite Thorntons products at our store in Shrewsbury or Wolverhampton or online at www.thorntons.co.uk in the future."
