New B&M store opens in Telford - with pictures

Shoppers queued up as B&M celebrated the launch of its new store at Telford Shopping Centre, creating 40 jobs.

The branch opened with an event on Saturday, with shoppers queueing up ahead of opening to be among the first inside.

It is the latest unit to open in the centre’s Northern Quarter, after the supermarket chain Aldi last month.

Representatives from local charity No Panic took centre stage to officially unveil the new store, alongside Telford Mayor Raj Mehta.

B&M spokeswoman Sian Phillips said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of even more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

"We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door."

The chain which also has a branch at the Forge Retail Park and on Wellington's New Street also sells toys, food, pet goods and toiletries.
