New artist's impression as Telford drive through site wins funding
Funding has been given to make drive through restaurants near the M54 a reality.
A new artist's impression was today released of Forge Island, which will bring Burger King, KFC and Costa to junction five of the motorway in Telford.
Development firm 3 Willows, advised by Savills, has secured London Metric as funding partners for the 7,000sq ft development.
The site will include 80 car parking spaces and is close to nearby Telford Forge Retail Park.

Building work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Richard Fletcher-Brewer, associate director in the investment team at Savills, said: “We are delighted to have secured funding for this new drive through park on behalf of our clients. Forge Island benefits from a roadside location.”
The site had been earmarked by a pub chain but that plan fell through.
Officially designated as green space, it has been used as storage for highways teams in the past and is seen as a key gateway to the town.
