Creative agency has designs on growth after HQ move
A design and marketing agency has moved into purpose-built headquarters in Telford after doubling the size of its business over the last two years.
Kensa Creative has used a £400,000 funding package from NatWest to finance its new premises in Telford’s Hortonwood West Industrial Estate, after outgrowing its existing leased premises in Priorslee.
Situated on a 7,500 sq ft plot, the two-storey office block has 4,500 sq ft of floorspace, including a large breakout space with a kitchen area, breakfast bar and sofas. The office can accommodate up to 40 staff and recruitment is already underway to fill three new creative positions, with ambitions to increase staff numbers from nine to 15 over the next 18 months.
The bespoke premises have been constructed by Shrewsbury-based Morris Properties and the fit-out was led by Kensa client biT Group, formerly Telford and Wrekin Council’s in-house property development consultancy.
Founded in 2010 by managing director Scott Clarke, Kensa Creative offers everything from traditional graphic design and branding, to websites, campaigns, video production and interactive media projects. Clients range in size from start-ups to multinational companies and include office supplies giant Lyreco and global specialist in energy management Schneider Electric, among many others.
Scott said: “We have always dreamed of owning our own offices and with the support of the funding from NatWest, we have been able to create a purpose-built space that is designed exactly to our current needs and is also future proofed for further growth. We are already looking to recruit new members into our team over the next few months and look forward to welcoming them to our new home.”
Barrie Morgan, NatWest real estate finance manager, said: “We have worked closely with Scott and the team to provide a funding package that has allowed them to achieve the next stage of the agency’s growth. We wish Kensa Creative every success as it continues to expand and build an even wider client base over the coming years.”
