The store, on Rampart Way, will close on Tuesday.

The company went into administration in March and two partners at business services firm Deloitte were appointed joint administrators.

It was announced that the chain, which formerly traded as Staples, was to close 16 stores in April, resulting in 161 job losses.

But administrators have announced a further 17 stores, including the Telford branch, will now close resulting in 167 redundancies.

Richard Hawes, joint administrator, said: “A buyer has yet to come forward for the business in part or in whole and we cannot continue trading all the stores indefinitely in an administration process.

"Therefore we are announcing a further round of store closures that will be completed over the next three weeks, also resulting in a number of redundancies.

"We are keeping staff informed of developments as they happen in what is a difficult time for them.”

Office Outlet ran into difficulty last August, when it arranged to close a number of stores under a form of insolvency called a Company Voluntary Arrangement.
