£1.2m land could be 'gateway' for Whitchurch
A 12-acre commercial development could become the “gateway” to a north Shropshire town, commercial agents have claimed.
The £1.2 million prime commercial development land lies between Heath Road and the A41/A49 on the outskirts of Whitchurch.
The site is allocated as employment land, suitable for a wide range of commercial uses.
According to James Evans, from Halls Commercial in Shrewsbury, its location provides the added benefit of being a “potential gateway to the town of Whitchurch".
Sale of the land is being handled jointly by Mr Evans and his team at Halls Commercial and Sheffield agent Mark Jenkinson & Son.
Mr Evans said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for a company to acquire an excellent site in a prime location and develop it however they wish.
“There is huge potential for this site to be the gateway to Whitchurch and attract more people to the area which offers so much opportunity.
“North Shropshire remains a highly attractive option for businesses of all sizes and our experience shows it’s a thriving economic community, bucking the trend in certain other areas of the country.
“Its location is key, a central position in the country with excellent road and rail links which means goods can be transported anywhere easily and quickly. It also provides easy access to three major airports.
“The prominent position of this land on the south west edge of Whitchurch will give any company a high profile presence in a position which is going to be seen by many thousands of people every week.
“The land is located between Heath Road and the A41/A49 – two of the busiest routes in Shropshire linking Whitchurch with the north west, Wales and the West Midlands.
“It is currently mainly greenfield with an access from Heath Road and benefits from an allocation as employment land within the Local Development Framework.
“This site is considered to be a future gateway business park with potential for a level of retail uses to part of the site – subject to relevant consents being obtained.”
Mr Evans said he and his team had already received enquiries from interested parties due to his experience with developers across the UK.
