Teddy bear Archie is a right royal sell-out
A teddy bear designed in Shropshire to celebrate the birth of royal baby Archie sold out before it even went into production.
Created by royal favourites, Merrythought, the bear was designed to have the new baby's name on his paw.
But demand for the cuddly toy was so big that the Ironbridge firm's website was crashed by people trying to to order the bear – even before the official announcement of the name - Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor - on Wednesday afternoon.
A limited edition run of just 250 of the firm's special occasion bears was organised by the Merrythought.
Each teddy bear features the new baby's details embroidered onto the paws in silver thread, and is finished with a coordinating luxury satin bow.
