The new role of health, safety and environment apprentice will support the operations director in fulfilling a number of key health and safety requirements across the organisation and will benefit from a 24-month apprenticeship programme qualification in association with In-Comm Training.

The successful candidate will gain IOSH and NEBOSH certification while working towards the safety, health and environment technician level three qualification.

Operations director, Wayne Carter, said: “This role will be central in helping to strengthen FSP’s existing procedures and processes and to embed the right culture across the organisation.”

FSP managing director, Richard Hilton, said: “Apprenticeships provide huge value to our business and this new role is no different.

"We have had a number of apprentices join us over the years, including Wayne who started with us 30 years ago and is now part of the senior management team.

“Apprentices that join FSP often complete their training and stay with the organisation on a permanent basis.

"The knowledge, insight and skills apprentices gain during their training provides invaluable experience to our business and really sets us up for a successful future.”

Molly Peters, HR officer at FSP, added: “The successful candidate will complete both on and off the job training elements and will cover topics such as preparing risk assessments, adhering to relevant industry legislation and ensuring all staff are correctly trained.”

The Ladder for Shropshire is supporting Telford-based Fabweld in the recruitment of the apprentice.

Anyone who would like to be considered for the role can apply before March 25 by visiting the FSP website or emailing molly.peters@fsp.co.uk
