The store, situated in Telford Shopping Centre, is one of 25 in England and Wales closing on that date.

Shoppers will find discounts of up to 80 per cent off fashion and home items – and at least 50 per cent off beauty and fragrances – in the stores as the last remaining stock is cleared.

It has already been confirmed the Wrexham store is one of 16 that will finish trading for the last time on May 2, along with the Walsall branch.

Debenhams’ remaining 45 stores are expected to close on or before May 15, including those in Lichfield and Merry Hill, Dudley.

The business, which collapsed last year, reopened its remaining stores with the lifting of Covid restrictions on non-essential retail on April 12.

A spokesman for Debenhams said: “Our stock is flying off the shelves and it’s no surprise with such great bargains available. Time is running out for shoppers to take advantage of the incredible discounts being offered at these 25 stores.”
