Pret reopens Shrewsbury store after sales forecasts and landlord support
It was closed 'permanently' only last summer but a major high street coffee shop has confirmed its decision to reopen indefinitely.
Shrewsbury's Pret a Manger, on Pride Hill, closed in July last year as the impact of the pandemic swept the country.
The closure was one of 30 announced by the chain.
But Pret has now confirmed that the shop, which is in one of the major units on Pride Hill, is back open thanks to support from its landlord.
It said that sale forecasts had also led to the decision.
A Pret spokesman said: “When we closed our Shrewsbury shop in March 2020, we expected this to be a permanent closure.
"However, due to support from our landlord and optimistic sales forecasts, we have taken the decision to reopen the shop.
"We are thrilled to be back up and running in Shrewsbury again.”
