Welshpool coach operator calls time on business after more than 20 years
A family-based coach operator is to close its doors for the final time this month after 20 years in business.
Welshpool's Cookson Travel Limited runs school buses and private hire coaches, having started in 2002 with a minibus, coach and one school contract.
It has since grown to a fleet of 23 vehicles, of a range of sizes, covering all aspects of coach hire to the public and delivering pupils to High Schools in Welshpool, Llanfyllin, Newtown and Bishop’s Castle Community College.
However, directors Mike and Chris Cookson have made the 'difficult decision' to retire from the industry by the 'end of July'.
