Newport event will discuss future of high street

The future of high streets will be under discussion at an event next week,

Newport – How’s the High Street ? will be discussed by members of Newport and District Civic Society, traders and Karen Woodcock, Chair of The Newport Chamber of Commerce.

Traders will discuss how they feel about car parking in town, how their businesses are doing and other matters that are critical to the town centre’s survival.

The talk will be held on Tuesday, October 31, at 7.30 pm in the Pavilion at Newport Cricket Club, Audley Avenue.

The bar will be open and car parking is available by the Pavilion.

Annual membership of Newport and District Civic Society is £12 per individual or £20 per couple.

Membership can be taken up at the meeting.

Entry to members on the night is free or £4 otherwise.
