'Idyllic' barn cafe scores top hygiene rating in first inspection after transformation
An 'idyllic' barn cafe has been awarded a five star hygiene rating in its first unannounced inspection.
Lizzie's Cafe Barn at Upper Aston Farm, Claverley, was formerly The Tea Cozy before being taken over by Lizzie Rogerson in June.
Since then, the cafe has undergone a major revamp with more furniture added, rooms refurbished, card payments allowed, radiators installed, and the garden decked out.
Lizzie, from Wolverhampton, said it was "now or never" when she saw the businesses up for sale, and had always longed to have her own cafe, so she bought it.
What followed was four months of success, and a five star hygiene rating right off the bat.
