High Street page offers a new shop window for businesses in Telford
Telford & Wrekin Council has launched a new Facebook page as a go to platform for businesses, community groups and shoppers.
The Telford and Wrekin High Streets Love Local page - https://www.telford.gov.uk/twhighstreetslovelocal - is a place where local businesses can promote their services and latest offers .
It offers customers the chance to check out the best bargains and what’s happening on their local high street.
The Facebook page will also provide an opportunity for businesses and shoppers to get involved in local events, use local services and shop at independent retail stores.
Businesses and residents across Telford and Wrekin are all encouraged to use and visit the page which is an online shopping and business community.
Councillor Raj Mehta (Lab), Telford & Wrekin Council’s Cabinet Member for Inclusion, Engagement, Equalities and Civic Pride, said: "It’s important that we continue to support our local high streets and the independent businesses which are such a big part of our local communities.
“Our Pride in our high street programme continues to support our local high street businesses, but we want to make it easier for businesses and the community to find out what is happening via this Telford and Wrekin High Streets Love Local page and become part of an online shopping community.
"So whether you’re looking for something for a special occasion or need to find out what services are available on your doorstep this is where you’ll find it. We encourage everyone to support their local communities and shop local.”
