Natalie Winfield-Biesty has set up All That Jazz Pet Services after completing a course with Bridgnorth-based consultants Good2Great.

With a degree in animal behaviour and welfare, Natalie has worked at the RSPCA and Pershore College with a large variety of animals such as dogs, cats, donkeys, goats, birds, rabbits, reptiles and pigs.

She then developed Bell's Palsy and needed a career where she had control over her hours and the type of work she took on so she could focus on recovery.

So she set up All That Jazz Pet Services, named after a previous pet, to offer dog walking, puppy classes and has plans for further training classes.

“My job as a whole is really rewarding - helping dogs and their owners come closer together and build stronger bonds and helping puppies build good habits and become confident and safe,” she said.

Natalie hopes to expand her services and utilise her expertise by going into dog behaviour training to help dogs who suffer from anxiety, separation, reactiveness and aggression.

As an owner of a lurcher and a greyhound, Natalie also hopes to offer bespoke training to owners of similar dogs and ex racing dogs to help them get rehabilitated into normal households.

She is undertaking the instructor course with the Professional Association of Canine Trainers, is a member of the Dog Trainer School, the National Institute for Canine Ethics and The Pet Professional Guild.

She commented: “The support I've received from Good2Great has been brilliant. The webinars are really helpful and have introduced me to aspects of business that I was previously unsure of. It's great to know that the support group is right there for me if I have any questions.

“My business is steadily growing and I'm looking to keep on growing and I feel that I have the capability to do so. I love that I can do something I am passionate about.”

More workshops will be delivered by Good2Great for South Staffs District Council on November 19 and 20 at Rodbaston College.

Funding for these events has been provided by the government through its UKSPF programme.
