The business  – a leading manufacturer of professional paper hygiene and wiping products – was crowned as the ‘Sustainable Company of the Year’ at the annual awards.

The team picked up the award from standup comedy star Daliso Chaponda.

And Paul Mulready, marketing manager at Northwood, said: “The Cleaning Excellence Awards set the benchmark for excellence in the industry and for us to be named as Sustainable Company of the Year is a huge accolade.”

Joel Quick, Northwood’s sustainability manager, added: “We are incredibly proud of this prestigious award, which recognises the hard work and dedication of the whole team at Northwood to consistently achieve the best sustainability standards throughout our operation.”

The ‘Sustainable Company of the Year’ title is awarded to a manufacturer in the UK cleaning and hygiene sector that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to sustainability practices, environmental responsibility, and social impact. It celebrates companies that have incorporated sustainable principles into their operations, products, and corporate culture, leading the way in creating a greener and more sustainable future.

Northwood now employs more than 1000 people across nine UK sites with 250 people employed at Northwood’s headquarters on Stafford Park in Telford.
