Telford's Start Software delivers on apprenticeships
Start Software is an award-winning software development and consulting business which has recently offered full time employment to an existing apprentice and recruited two new apprentices who will be starting shortly.
Start Software in Telford creates easy-to-use web software and mobile apps for all sizes of businesses and organisations.
The team is made up of software designers, developers, testers and technical authors with experience of working on a huge range of software systems.
Director Elaine Porter said “We are an advocate for apprenticeships and very keen to nurture new talent. We feel the apprenticeship route allows us to train young people who then become valued members of the team.
"We have recently offered William Price full time employment after completion of his apprenticeship.
"William has been a credit to the business and has developed so much over the duration of the apprenticeship and we can see him to continue to grow over his career,”
She added: “We are very excited to be introducing two new apprentices to the business”.
William said: “My journey as an apprentice has been great. I have learnt many new skills through on-the-job training from my peers.
"The skills I have learnt have been for both IT and customer support. My employers have been very supportive and have helped me to development my personal and technical skills.
"I am currently working in customer support and have aspirations to go onto software developing.
"I was very excited to receive an offer for full time employment as I really enjoy working at Start Software.”
