From free days out to supermarket giveaways, Money Saving Amy shares her handy hints and tips as the cost-of-living crisis rumbles on
As families struggle to get by through the cost-of-living crisis, the Shropshire Star has teamed up with 'Money Saving Amy' in a bid to help families with some handy hints and tips.
Hello everyone, my name is Amy, I’m a 30 year old mum-of-two and I absolutely love all things money saving and helping people save money and find freebies. You can find me sharing daily tips and tricks over on my Instagram _moneysavingamy.
There are so many freebies, cashback apps and rewards out there that many people don’t know about and I really hope I can help point you all in the right direction each week.
Days out
Heinz are currently running “Heinz dayz out”. There are promotional packets in store and all you have to do is buy one, then go to dayzout.heinz.co.uk, input the batch code on the item and you’ll receive a voucher for an activity local to you. This is a great one for a free day out or activity over summer, plus of course you’re stocking up on your Heinz favourites. Vouchers from this promotion need to be claimed by October 31 this year and used by the last day in December.
Tesco Clubcard points can be doubled up when redeemed on tickets for days out such as West Midland Safari Park, or can be doubled up to use on meals out at places such as Pizza Express. Asda recently bought in a rewards app and it’s fantastic, the money soon adds up and they often offer extra bonuses, plus they offer extra cashback on various products each week.
